"It was good drills, kinda old school. My son was scared of some of the coaches because they started off the practice by saying “I don’t like lazy hockey players” which is a bit Much for 6 year olds. while I’m sure they could have gotten water at any point - when one kid asked they were told to wait and get back in line To finish the drills. The half time break was coming in a few minutes so I understand why, however, I would think a water break would be an absolute in any situation - especially after skating for an hour. The scrimmage was full ice and it Seemed like the kids mostly had fun. I would probably have waited until my son was older for this type of structure- for older kids it would be perfectly fine."
