"Fast friendly responses to requests made at the receptionist desk / care that speaks to the obvious concern that Doctors and Nurses have for the patients. Three generations of my family are cared for in this practice and will tell you the same... Dr.. Skelton is amazing."
"I’ve been a patient for 25+ years. Started with Dr Ray Tardif , fabulous Dr. Then met Amy Bergeron & connected immediately . She orchestrated many of my hip replacements & Breast Cancer in Boston, fought through All insurance denials, and made it Happen. She also Helped my family members with dementia and while listening to my needs. Amy did move on and her replacement Rebecca Sirka, NP. I feel truly blessed to be patient here. I’ve Always been treated like family here., whether I’m speaking with Luce on the phone or greeted by Melissa at the front . I have NEVER been Disappointed. Ps) Rebecca helped my Brother , just by taking him off one Med. He no longer has leg cramps & can finally walk around the block. All done by listening & ruling out. We are Grateful to Family Health Associates."
"I've been with FHA for 40 yrs...many of those yrs with Geri Wade. I've had nothing but great medical care, kindness & attentiveness from her. She's retiring in May & I will miss her. As for recent grouchiness re: receptionists? They're responding to the overall Covid grouchiness of the clients. They're as human as we are."
"DO NOT USE THIS PRACTICE! I have been under their care since about sixteen/seventeen years old, and it is the worst care I've ever experienced. Since the beginning, I've experienced nothing but disrespect from the receptionists and misdiagnoses from the doctors. This past December, I was re-admitted in the hospital because of a depression related situation. I called the PM receptionist, having one of the worst panic attacks I've had in years, and explained how my medication was destroyed and I needed a new refill. I told the receptionist, very openly, "I'm suicidal, I'm unsafe, and I dont know what to do." To which the woman said, in a disinterested tone, "well, because its a new refill we probably cant do that and even if we could you'll have to pay out of pocket and those are expensive." She offered to have the on call doctor call me back; they never did and I had to go back to the hospital to receive proper care. This is one of the many examples I have of the mistreatment from these receptionists, and I have many more like it, one being today! I had gotten type 2 strep throat and went to get tested; the doctor told me it was a simple cold and I'd be fine in a few days. By the time I got home, in a 30 minute drive, I couldnt walk straight, my mother and step father had to pick me up off the floor and carry me to the couch, I had a fever of 102 degrees, I couldnt open my eyes, eat or drink, it was horrible! I went back the next day, saw a different doctor, and found out what it was. In his words, "I dont know why she didnt test for it"! Just today, I called to schedule my annual check up and waited 30 minutes on hold before getting through to someone; her name was Holly! I asked politely to schedule me for my annual and to recieve additional testing as well. She told me, "the closest date for [my doctor] is in January." I explained that I couldnt wait a month to have that testing done because waiting would be dangerous for my health so I'll go to Family Planning instead (I've never had improper care there and they treat me with respect), and she snapped at me, "Well you're trying to schedule for an annual and you dont NEED that testing on the same day!" Bewildered but not surprised, I told her I would take that day, but the phone was quiet. After a few moments, she said, "hello?!" And I asked if she heard me, and HOLLY said, "um, obviously not!" THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME I HAVE BEEN SPOKEN TO IN THIS MANNER BY HER OR THE OTHER RECEPTIONISTS! I have avoided using their office as much as possible, resorting in going to Urgent Care or the hospital instead, to avoid the mere phone call that it takes to get an appointment. Any person would be better off going somewhere else because the treatment and care is not worth it."
"Definitely would not recommend this place. Their receptionists are downright rude, especially Holly and their doctors hardly do their jobs. They never did a confirmation of pregnancy when I went in specifically for that and the doctor literally terrified me by saying my body was basically going to be ripped in half, mind you, this was my first child so I was already scared! The other doctor that's there has misdiagnosed everyone in my family just about every time we've gone in. My mom had an infection for half of a year because of them. I refuse to allow them any sort of responsibility when it comes to my health and so does my entire family."
