"I have been a patient for several years. The doctors, therapists, and case managers are really good people who want to help and do their best to do so. After nearly 2 decades, I am stable, I have an awesome support team, and doing well. With all the new staff they've hired over the last few years, they really have grown and expanded to help more people and provide additional services."
"This place is absolutely HORRID. Please, if you are seeking support with mental health, do not even consider this place—they make patients lives, and their families, a living hell and break down any progress a patient has made in the past. A doctor SHOULD put aside their own PERSONAL biases when treating a patient; at this place, that is not the case. The doctors don’t even take the time to properly meet a patient before coming to their own conclusions. I witnessed someone very close to me bring themselves back from a drug addition and they have been on a positive path to success. When their doctor resigned, this “doctors office” let them fall through the cracks and made it quite literally impossible for them to seek treatment—they had to constantly call the office to track what was going on; they were not informed that their doctor had resigned and were not rescheduled with another “doctor”; mind you they are prescribed medication so this “hiccup” in scheduling effects the consistency of their treatment plan that was originally put in place—huge red flag. After having to be extremely persistent, they were able to get the compassionless medical director and admin department to schedule them an appointment. Upon their initial appointment, they were berated and talked down to by some personally biased and careless “doctor”. THEY ARE REACHING OUT AND ASKING FOR HELP not judgement. This “doctor” disregarded their current treatment regime and, due to personal biases, completely changed the approach of treatment—mind you, this patient is working extremely hard and has been doing well on their current regime. This “doctor” pulled the rug out from under them and thus has the ability to completely erase the progress that has been made thus far. This “doctor” has caused extreme harm to this patient rather than helping them to continue to progress. There is a stigma with mental health; one would assume that the doctors within the mental health field would try to be understanding of those they treat and work with them rather than against them. I urge you to think twice before considering this place for help. I do not wish anyone to go through the judgement and pain, among other things, like regression, that this patient has gone through."
"I have been attempting to receive psych services (medication refills and some monitoring of symptoms) from this place for nearly three months. First, they never received referrals from my PCP, but after two full days of repeated faxes and constant phone calls from me they magically found the referral when I threatened to drive it to them myself. Next, after they finally received the referral, they told me it would be at least a week until a doctor could review it. I called back a week later, but was told to keep trying back. I checked in every few days following that, and gave up for a few weeks when Thanksgiving hit. I figured they'd call me when they got around to it. Today I realized that it had been over a month since I heard anything, so I called. I was informed that the referral had been deleted because they asked for additional information from my PCP but never received it, and that referrals were cancelled after 35 days of no activity. Well. I called my PCP and naturally they have no record of any request for information coming through. I believe them, because their office is well organized and they've never let me down. I wonder what it's like for somebody with serious mental health needs to go through this nonsense. The receptionist and manager basically shrugged when I asked them."
