"We stopped in for the first time and were greeted by Rick himself, a one person wonder. We wanted to sample an 8 oz pack of a single source bean. Rick was extremely welcoming and helpful. We learned about how to choose the right grind depending upon the coffee and the brewing system. We enjoyed our first and last cup of Brasso Brazil. Burwell Beans is primarily a mail order business in the US but there are usually freshly roasted bags of coffee available for drop-ins. Rick would love to have his own coffee shop but apparently he cannot open one at his current location on route 1 in Rowley. First timers get a discount! Support local."

"By far the best coffee beans around. The flavors are absolutely exquisite. The only downfall is I can't order coffee or espresso anywhere else. Now I have to make it at home because nothing compares to these coffee beans. My favorites are the dark roasts: ox pasture espresso, sax noir french roast, dark timbre and largo espresso."
"I found out about Burwell Beans at the Boston Sax Shop, where the Burwell Beans are the house coffee beans. I was offered an espresso while I was there picking up my saxophone. I loved the coffee and decided to order four assorted bags for myself. All have been excellent. The company is very efficient and fun to deal with. Plus the owner is a sax player.
