"I absolutely love this place. Excellent food but more economical than most of the other local haunts. The lentil soup is phenomenal and the paninis are delicious. They also make their cookies from scratch. The best part of this place is that it’s not a chain. The original owners run it every day from M-F 8a-7p and Sat 8a-6p. They work hard and are the sweetest people you’ll ever meet. Best kept secret near Brandeis!"
"I have had the best chicken pesto sandwich here. It’s so good that every time I go, I don’t even see the other options and just go ahead and order it. The owners are extremely friendly and kind. Great conversation with them every time I visit. As a student, they give you a sandwich card. After 10 sandwiches you get a free sandwich of your choice. It’s the best cafe in Waltham."
"The cafe from the outside is wonderfully inviting with nice porch and plenty of outdoor seating. However, the inside looks like an 80s cafeteria/deli. Minimal decor, and a few rows of long tables and chairs. They sell Dietz and Watson meats and I assume cheeses, but the signs are pretty faded and old looking. Great selection of chips and cold drinks and the coffee station looked like it was still set up for full service even though it was 1:30pm, and there were still several muffins and cookies available. The lady making sandwiches was so kind and when asked what she suggested she looked over at her station and said with excitement “the chicken pesto panini”. It was delicious, but the pesto was mayonnaise based I’m pretty sure, not complaining bc I love mayo, just surprising. She also offered me a sandwich card, 10 punches and you get a free sandwich. Very sweet deal!"
"I love this place! Their food is amazing and they are so friendly. The deck is my favorite place to eat lunch during my break."
"Incredible sandwiches, try the pesto chicken sandwich for sure! Great place for a quick lunch around Brandeis University! Good environment to sit and work too."
