"I recently purchased a vintage Mercedes (1990 560 SEL) that requires a little bit of work. Brian, my service consultant, and Jeff, the technician who specializes in older cars, put together a comprehensive inspection report, which broke things out into three categories (must do, would be nice and good to go). A lot of dealers would probably have said “we don’t want to service a car this old” or “how about you trade it in for a new S600” (haha). They both took the time to walk me through each item so I could make an informed decision as to which repairs to tackle. If I could give ten stars I would."
"Very happy with the work that they did! I would hit the brakes in my car with a literally almost spin out. Turns out that the rear subframe had disconnected due to corrosion and it turns out it was under warranty and Mercedes covered it completely… Zero balance! "I had so many high hopes and expectations about this place and have been profoundly disappointed during my first visit. I brought my vehicle to have new tires installed and asked for an alignment to be performed as well. While in the waiting area I was given there updates on my vehicle as that Friday seemed to be extremely busy and my appointment took much longer than expected. The second update was to be let know that they have started doing the alignment. The third update was to be told that they completed the alignment and that they would have the car ready in a few minutes. I proceeded to pay for the tire install and the alignment at which point I asked for the alignment report. I am very organized and detailed and I keep record of all vehicle related paperwork. After the lady charged my credit card (alignment was $199) she told me I would have to ask the service rep for the report. The rep came and had a very short chat with the lady and told me he would return with the report. He comes back seconds lates and says: I apologize, we did not do the alignment. The platform was busy and they did not do it. I can refund you the money if you’d like………………………………. I was blown away…..I have never in my entire life have felt so taken advantage of. I have spend many years moving between Europe, Canada, Texas and now MA and nothing of this sort ever came our way. I cannot stop wondering what would have happened if I were a 75-80 years old lady bringing in my car and trusting those people with my car, which means trusting them with my work and my hard earned money. Anyone else in my shoes would have not perhaps asked for the report, but regardless, not having it but ripping people off while not performing the requested services is just so low….. Perhaps I am different than most people out there but I could not sleep at night if I ever did this to another human being. I would not be comfortable putting bread on my children’s table in the evening knowing that that’s how I earned my money…..by taking advantage of other people. It is beyond disrespectful, utterly unacceptable and just plain not right for people to hide behind such an established brand like Mercedes while treating customers so poorly. On the other hand, the same rep came in a heartbeat to ask me if I wanted to proceed with the changing the break pads and rotors for over $3000. I cannot stop wondering how could I ever trust this place ever again with any type of service, whether it’s a simple oil change or an expensive break pad service? Perhaps Mercedes could learn from Audi to send a video inspection of the service to the customer detailing the findings and the plan forward. I simply cannot get my head wrapped around how people or management think that this is acceptable. My husband was beyond disappointed, to not say disgusted when I called him right after I left the dealership. I am aware this is perhaps yet another review that will slip through the cracks and perhaps go unnoticed, but I for sure hope no one else will ever be treated this way….. We all work so hard for our money….we need more common sense and respect for other peoples’ property. It’s that simple… Thank you kindly."
