Rockmere Bed & Breakfast

"BOOKING BEWARE - terrible booking experience, rude and unhelpful staff, SCAM. I booked a stay with Rockmere for a babymoon for my wife and I. We had to reschedule so I rebooked for the following week. And living several states away, I noted that we would be arriving later than 5 p.m.. Everything seemed fine until I received an email stating that Rockmere was canceling my reservation as they do not take arrival times after 5 p.m., though while booking, the website states that they will take such arrivals and that you call weeks prior to arrival to discuss expected an arrival time, etc, so they can accommodate. This was not the case. My booking was canceled without any sort of warning AND I was told that they would be charging me a cancelation fee "because they had to work double time for me". And this was several months outside of our intended travel date. Furthermore, I never received my deposit back and have attempted to contact Rockmere several times on the matter. Got through via the contact us field on the website but got no further response. There was no indication on whether a cancelation fee would be for the entire deposit or for a fraction of that - and I've received no word on that either. While it's a nice location, you're better off staying somewhere that will put the needs of the customer above the needs of the staff."

"We absolutely loved staying here. Our room had great ocean views. It was so close to the Marginal Way and right in between Perkins Cove and downtown. Andy, our host, cooked us lovely breakfasts each morning and he was a great storyteller and had a great sense of humor. We will definitely be back!"

"I called to make a reservation for this coming Saturday night and was told there was one room available for cash only. I clarified that I heard him right because it broke up a bit, and he said yes cash only and hung up the phone. Figured it was dropped due to bad service, called back an hour later and he said this is why we don't do one night anymore too many questions and hung up on me again. I called back and he picked up, hung up. I was ready to book then and there upon the second time calling back but now, boy am I glad I didn't. I see others on here have had the same experience. Unbelievable!"

"This was our first time staying in a Bed and Breakfast. We had a wonderful experience. Andy was an excellent host. The location was perfect. Very close to the Marginal Way and very central to both Perkins Pier and Downtown Ogunquit."

"I loved our stay so much. We were in the Ann Marie and the ocean view from the bed was amazing. I adore Andy, the innkeeper, and his stories so much. He also has fantastic recommendations for everything from restaurants, to entertainment and shopping. It is an old house but Andy did a beautiful job decorating the rooms."
