"I highly recommend Audrey Hall, APRN-BC, at Amherst Psychiatric Associates. Audrey skillfully treats my ADHD and has continued to monitor my process with compassion. She patiently answers my endless questions and I feel I'm so fortunate to have found such a wonderful practitioner."
"I called requesting a cancellation and reschedule within the 48 hour period, and my NP wouldn’t believe me that I didn’t receive a call back. Proceeded to lecture me like I wasn’t a competent adult that I was dropping my responsibilities, despite the fact that I shared I was having a hard time. Complete lack of empathy and understanding on how to work with people. And she called me 15 minutes after my appointment was meant to start, which is was comical considering I was the one being billed as irresponsible. Do not recommend."
"edit: not sure if they've switched since a few years ago, but have had a lot better luck recently with making appointments and communicating with staff. no idea if i'm going to be able to get my prescription refilled, simply because i'd mistaken my appointment time and they called the wrong number. i felt like the main priority of the receptionist was getting the late fee (way too steep, and i can't afford it) and just trying to make me feel awful for accidentally missing the appt. she laughed when i asked if my psychiatrist could at least get my script filled in the interim of a two week period before my next appointment. these aren't meds i can simply skip for two weeks. i feel judged when i try to advocate for myself, and very disrespected. i really should've read the reviews from others before going with this practice last year."
"initially rated one star, changed to 4! Update: Over the past several months that was the only negative experience I had! My prescriber Amy Jacobson is amazing! --- This morning I was about to have my first intake appointment. I woke up to two voicemails saying that I never confirmed the appointment and to call them back immediately. I called back and spoke with the rudest person I may have ever spoken with. She immediately started yelling at me saying she's left me tons of voicemails and how dare I not call them back, and I was so shocked I started shaking. I never got any calls or voicemails from them except for the two that very morning. This receptionist was horrible to me, going on and on about how dare I not answer their voicemails. I apologized calmly and explained that I truly didn't get any voicemails, I'm sorry, but I don't know what else to say. Her name was Sheila, and she was going off the handle yelling at me, and then told me I needed a new phone and new number. When I asked her name she gave it then snapped and said "and you can tell Amy I DONT CARE" (the name of my new psychiatrist I was about to meet with). It was pretty upsetting and just so bizarre. She then said that if I have future appointments I "HAVE" to call them back, and I was just like "I know, I always call back, but I swear I never got any phone calls from you guys". She was really awful to me! I can take it, but it upsets me that someone like this works at a psychiatric office, and could potentially prevent people from reaching out and getting help. Truly an awful experience. I do NOT recommend this place to anyone."
"These people are the worst. I have a daughter who is doing very badly & her grandfather, my father had just died and the woman -the psychiatric nurse Amy was just awful in the session. She showed zero understanding or even a desire to be with my daughter where she was in the moment. She was impatient, she requested confidential documents that I sent her and then they told us that we weren’t a good fit-all bc my daughter had a hard 1st session. I do not recommend Amy she is terrible with people: punitive, nasty and rude. I will put this review everywhere bc I don’t want anyone else dealing with her. She’s a terrible person and I think I’m going to complain about her officially."
