"I normally don’t post reviews but felt the need to share my experience. I booked an appointment with Robert and was planning to use a Groupon as it was my first time as his client. I called ahead and asked if he is Ok for the Groupon and he stated “yes that’s what they’re there for”. The Groupon was for partial highlights which I misunderstood for partial balayage initially. When I met Robert, we started discussing what I was thinking. I am not a hair professional so I had photos to show him and tried my best to explain. He mentioned the photos were of balayage and not partial highlights, as they were different services. I cordially agreed and even suggested to pay extra if he felt that’s what may achieve the look. Furthermore, I even said do whatever you think is best, I just wanted something different with my hair. He physically looked upset and had a very condescending tone towards me from the beginning as I was explaining, with no patience to try his best and understand. I kept my patience and understanding as well being a first time client. Shortly after, he walked away and came back to tell me he’s not the best person for the job, that I should find someone else and he had a headache/bad day. However, it was very apparent that because I couldn’t explain to HIS liking, a hair professional, I was literally dismissed from his chair. I’m sure Robert is a capable stylist but if you’re looking for someone who has patience, isn’t rude and has some bedside manners as your hairstylist, that’s not him. I’ve been getting professional hair treatments for many years and for something such as coloring your hair, you need a professional who is understanding and wants to work with you. I hope he has better days and does not take it out on his clients."

"Really dread haircuts, never usually comes out the way I like…. Until Robert. Showed him 5 screenshots of variations of the look I was going for. Cut about 5-6 in off and made it look soooo good. Only been two days but already so many compliments so had to make sure I wrote a review so no one else has to wait another day w bad hair … go here! Clean sleek salon w great energy"

I like to change my hair up a lot and all I need to say to him is “let’s do something fun and colorful” or “ let’s tone it down a little for winter” and he goes to work. The result is always amazing- 100% of the time. Best hairstylist is the South End of Boston. Go see him and you’ll be glad you did"
