"I needed an antibiotic for my child that said online it would be ready by 10:27am, I received a text that it was delayed.. no problem! I then called the pharmacy at 5pm to ask if the prescription would be ready today or tomorrow, she rudely tells me if I have text notifications on that I don’t need to call and that she’s overwhelmed with calls of people asking when their medication will be ready. My child was suffering greatly and I wanted to make sure they had it in stock as it is out of stock in many Walgreens I tried. As a healthcare worker myself, that was extremely rude and unprofessional. Hire more staff. I can’t even ask the pharmacists questions because they are always busy. EDIT: Came to pick up the medication and I was given just the powder for amoxicillin instead of them reconstituting it into a liquid for a CHILD, that was the icing on the cake lol I had to come back. Overall place sucks. I work understaffed everyday in a hospital and still am kind to my patients. Just a complete lack of empathy - I am overwhelmed with patients and berated daily, I would never walk into a patients room and tell them to stop using the call button because so many other patients are using it and I’m overwhelmed. That is literally your job, ma’am. I didn’t call upset that it wasn’t ready, I just wanted to know so I could either get my kids ready for bed soon or get them dressed to go out. The lack of decorum staff has is astounding."
"I had the most amazing experience at the Walgreens store in Stoneham (store #3548). Customer service is a lost art at many places, but Joe exemplified putting the customer first. I walked in, he immediately asked if he could help me. I asked for a phone charger, he took me over to a few options and gave me a recommendation based on his knowledge. Since I had to use it, I opened it and found it was damaged. He apologized profusely (didn't have to), took ownership like it was his fault and found another one for me. His care was evident and I felt like the most important customer. I wish all team members were like Joe."
"Today I went for tetanus shot first one old lady said you need appointment . I said I call one day ago that time one of you said I don’t need appointment that’s why I came walk in . She said I don’t want to argue I want appointment then I came home and call them for appointment then it was same lady picking call then she said you can just come walk in for shot . They just think we are free so they wasting our time"
"Had an appointment for an 11am COVID shot showed up early and the pharmacists couldn’t have cared less. They looked at me chatting with customers standing around and provided no type of customer service. I had filled out all my information and checked in already online. They weren’t even aware they had somebody coming for a shot. Kind of scary these people are allowed to handle medicine. It’s 11:20 and am still waiting. Update: Hamsah was very nice and very helpful. She got them an extra star."
"This is by far the worst pharmacy ever!!! Starting with not giving proper information why your prescription is being held up Famous phrase it’s out of stock and we don’t know when it coming in ok will you fill my prescription when you get it available I was told no you need to cal to see if we have it. Why can’t I just be put in the queue when the medication becomes available you fill it wouldn’t that make sense but it’s a fight every time I call. There is ZERO communication!!! The staff is RUDE and not willing to help or explain. I have now changed pharmacies to Wegmans who are kind and professional and an actual person calls you to explain what is going on with your prescription whether it’s out of stock, waiting for your provider, or it’s ready etc… Walgreens you in plain English SUCK!!!!"
