Reviews of United States Postal Service
"I've lived in Philmont for almost 10 years and this Post Office still returns any mail in an envelope that has my physical address. They're very vocal about how they aren't required to put that mail in my box and offer up suggestions and how to avoid their issue with it, but don't understand EVERY single time it happens, it's out of my control. Credit cards, checks, insurance cards, DMV documents, important things from my son's school always get returned. I've always had PO Box wherever I've lived and this is the only Post Office who's done this in my experience."
"When I started to post my signs on the Philmont post office's bulletin board, Jennifer, the post master, originally had said to me that we cannot post signs on their bulletin board if we are doing it for profit. So I have been posting our signs there as we gain no profit as a group but they have been taken down more frequently (three times a day) recently. Guess who has been taking them down? - The post master, who had told me that the post office wasn't taking them down at all, was sneakily taking down early mornings and in the afternoons. As soon as I found that out this morning watching the post office from outside, I asked her why. She said we have to be registered as a non-profit organization. Then when I asked her if the other groups who post their signs are registered as non-profit, she had to take down almost all the signs in front of me. She also said that our signs are also political and they got complaints. I think this was the real reason. This world has been politically divided these years but we have been only trying to help people and make a better community. If I would "complain" about whatever other people post there because it's "political", it can be removed? Is this really a free nation??? The United States Postal Service has largely supported the Democratic Party during the last election and committed their election fraud. I am sick of the political divisions, dominations, based on such double standards, and the people who only care about themselves acting as if they cared for others."
"First time I walked into this post office was the day I moved into Philmont. Had to get a money order and get my own P.O. box. Right after I got my money order, the power went out for the village, lol. The ladies in there were so kind. It was an honor to meet them. I wish them a happy mother's day today."
"If you want a local post office with a postmaster (and staff) that will go "above and beyond" to assist you, the Philmont post office is the place to go. I have an online business and last month a package I shipped got waylaid at a sorting site in NYC. My personal attempts at getting it moving to its destination were unsuccessful. I spoke to the Philmont Postmaster about the issue and she immediately got involved AND continued to do follow-up until the package finally arrived at its destination - more than a month later - safe and sound - I'm sure it was her intervention that solved this issue! I am SO pleased with the professionalism and friendliness of the postmaster AND staff there, that I now have a mailbox there and will positively conduct all my USPS interactions at that location!"
"Terrible customer service! Two ladies that work there (one has glasses and curly hair) refuse to give my fiancé & I our packages! We even had ID, but didn’t have our key. Never had an issue before receiving packages with our ID. The lady acted like she didn’t know us when we go in there almost everyday. Saying we were harassing her when we just wanted our mail. She needs to get fired for withholding OUR mail ILLEGALLY! Post Master PLEASE respond back or email me, I’m done with the lady being disrespectful to me."
