Reviews of Wakefield Dog Park
"Great park, well mainta8ned, and friendly people"
"This place is hit or miss for me. If I can catch it during off hours, then it’s just fine for my smaller dog, who gets overwhelmed by some of the larger, more dominant dogs. I also frequently get jumped on by large and small dogs. I generally don’t mind it if it happens once in a while, but when it happens repeatedly and the dog owners don’t seem to think there’s anything wrong with it, I do start to get annoyed. I’ve had to leave on multiple occasions due to dogs who are not paid attention to or able to be controlled by their owners. That being said, there is a lot of space and it is quite clean."
"Wakefield Dog Park is one of the best around. The use of mulch is much cleaner than the sand you often find at other locations. The pups have a watering station, cleanup bags, (in the event you forget yours), an agility ramp and tire, and plenty of toys that the community brings and shares for all dogs to enjoy. Most dog owners that utilize this park are regulars and are responsible and vigilant. There is a sense of community and pride amongst those who use this space, keeping it clean and safe for both dogs and people. The town of Wakefield also does a great job in maintaining this space, with receptacles and park being cleaned routinely, as well as adding new mulch when necessary. A great place for dogs to run and play with their friends and to make new ones."
"Clean and we'll kept with wood chips so no mud or ick. Most owners clean up after their dogs and are attentive to them so the atmosphere is fun for the dogs. The people who bring their dogs are super nice. More recently they gave added some obstacles for dogs to train on. Plenty of fresh water and owners have brought big bowls for the dogs to share."
"Great dog park with lots of room for the dogs to run around. SUPER CLEAN ! The mulch is great for keeping away mud and the town of Wakefield dpw is always around cleaning out the barrels and raking the mulch."
