Waterfront Park 1 Marina Park Drive, Boston, MA 02210
About the Business
Waterfront Park is a beautiful park located at 1 Marina Park Drive in Boston, Massachusetts. As part of the Boston Parks and Recreation Department, we strive to create and maintain clean, green, safe, and accessible open spaces throughout the city. With over 2,300 acres of park land under our care, including 217 City parks, playgrounds, athletic fields, and more, we work to provide a wide range of recreational opportunities for residents and visitors alike.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have moved our Tree Removal and Parks and Recreation Commission hearings online to ensure the safety of all participants. Despite these challenges, we are excited to announce that the beloved Boston Swan Boats will be opening for the 2024 season at the Boston Public Garden lagoon, providing a fun and iconic experience for all to enjoy.
Our park system includes the historic Emerald Necklace, a 1,000-acre chain of nine parks connected by parkways and waterways. We also oversee three active cemeteries and 16 burying grounds in Boston, ensuring that these important historical sites are well-maintained and respected.
If you are interested in removing a healthy tree within our jurisdiction, please note that a public hearing is required to ensure transparency and community input. We are committed to preserving and enhancing the natural beauty of our parks and green spaces, and we invite you to explore all that Waterfront Park and the Boston Parks and Recreation Department have to offer.

Reviews
"It's nice place to strolling to your love one. Or just running and walking alone."
"My favorite spot to eat lunch when I'm in the office. In the summer, it can't get any better with the views and the breeze. It can be tough to get a table sometimes in the main shady area, but there's plenty of seating around."
"Great view of the old city, a fair walk from many eating spots and great coffee places."
"Beautiful place to relax, read a book or maybe have a picnic Well kept lawn area along the harbor"
