About the Business
Harambee Park is a beautiful green space located at 930 Blue Hill Avenue in Boston, Massachusetts, United States. As part of the Boston Parks and Recreation Department, we are dedicated to creating and maintaining clean, safe, and accessible open spaces throughout the city. Our department oversees 217 City parks, playgrounds, athletic fields, golf courses, squares, fountains, game courts, cemeteries, urban wilds, and more, covering a total of 2,346 acres. We also care for over 125,000 trees, including street trees.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our Tree Removal and Parks and Recreation Commission hearings are currently being held online. We are excited to announce that the Boston Swan Boats will be opening for the 2024 season at the Boston Public Garden lagoon, a popular attraction within the 1,100-acre chain of nine parks linked by parkways and waterways.
At Harambee Park, we also manage three active cemeteries and 16 burying grounds in Boston. If you are interested in removing a healthy tree, please note that a public hearing is required. Visit us at Harambee Park to enjoy the beauty of nature and the outdoors in the heart of the city.

"This park is so clean and is very nice to bring your children. there is 2 big fields and not to far away is another park!"
"This is a center and hub for many happenings such as but not limited too, Community events, outreach, fundraiser, basketball tournaments, cookouts bbq. The walkway/ pathway in the field was recently re done and is very amazing. They also have workout stations in the field. Soccer, Lacrosse and football are very much present in this park. Oh you can also get the best car washes and car detail right there on Talbot ave next to this park while your kids play or you take a stroll."
"Excellent park, family friendly"
"This park is very clean, and has good features for a playground, from toddlers to big kids. It had a nice basketball court right next to the playground. One of the special needs swings has a broken latch. That's my only safety concern."
"Awesome park. Tons of different things for various ages. My kids already want to come back."
