"For the last few years I have stopped at the Westport Town Beach, even though I'm not a resident and have no sticker. Today out of curiosity I went past it and went to Gooseberry Island. This is a beautiful spot, I won't be stopping at the town beach in the future. Even though it was relatively cool at the shore, there were many people sunbathing and enjoying the view. Parking lot was nearly full at around Noon. Great place. Bring your dog!"
"Beautiful place to walk around. Lots of things to explore! Port a pottys by the entrance. Breathtaking views of the ocean. Definitely a great spot to watch the sunset!! Nice place to take the kids for the day or go out with some friends or significant other. I recommend bringing some snacks and water and a big thick blanket, maybe even some chairs if you can. As far as wheelchairs: you cannot get past the parking lot area with a wheelchair."
