"Absolutely gorgeous waterfront park. If you're looking to spend some time in Newport and want to spend it along the water (for free!) this is an excellent choice. However, be aware that you can't swim here. If you go on the rocks, be careful and pay attention to the tide, don't get too close, and stay off the dark rocks, as they are slippery. If you're a kite person, this is a wonderful place to come as it is always windy here. You can also buy a kite from a vendor here if you did not bring your own."
"I've come to this state park for 40 years now and its still one of my favorite places I wish that they would rebuild some of the historic buildings back to were people could experience like I did when I was a kid but still very beautiful place to visit"
