"A cool spot to check out with pretty incredible views. Be careful driving on the roads as they are very hilly and curvy!"
"Great place to stop off or put-in into the water. Slide down rails installed to make carrying rafts and kayaks down to the put-in super ez. Great spot on the overlook to stop for lunch or a break, HOWEVER, no bathrooms nor porta-potties, no picnic tables, make due with some great metal new benches. Fine if you bring your own sandwiches and sit there. Very inspiring in mid - spring when water is just flowing thunder. Hiking trails also right by the stairs down to the put-in dock."
"Best place to see kayaers and see the river flowing. Also peaceful when no one is there. Kayaers think they owned the property and always in the road which is wrong."
"Don’t forget to take your cameras!"
"This newly constructed park was thoughtfully built with great views in what could be Massachusetts’ quietest spot. Two granite posts engraved with the Town of Monroe Seal, park name and history stand together as a stately entrance. The interpretive sign has a well thought-out narrative of the town and site. The viewing platform area is clean and well maintained. Fun finds while there include the gardens planted entirely with native plants, wide views of uncorrupted native forests with no invasive plants or litter, the hulking abandoned mill and my personal favorite, quite possibly the smallest guardrail in New England. This pocket park in the tiny town of Monroe Mass. (Pop. 121) is an unforgettable visit for any intrepid traveler, leaf peeper or history buff looking to find what could be the smallest slice of pure New England south of Maine. I can’t wait till my next visit. Note: The adjacent dam structure apparently sounds off when water is about to be released. This did not happen during my 45 minute visit."
