"What an amazing community Vandy has built here! I go to the open art nights every Tuesday evening, and I love every minute of it. It's hard for me to want to go home at the end of the night because I'm having so much fun! We do different craft projects each week from painting, collage, ceramics, print making, and more. I'm always learning something, mostly that I CAN make beautiful art! Beyond open art, there are kids art camps, after school art groups, and classes for both kids and adults. I've done some of the classes like Soul Collage and have really enjoyed them. The regulars of open art night have become good friends, and this little community of creating has been such a wonderful respite for my tired soul. As Vandy likes to remind me, adults need art as much as kids. Playing with new mediums/skills/ideas without expectation of a master piece is what leads to masterpieces. Thank you Vandy for helping me see that I am an artist! All I had to do was play and create"
