"The crew at Dover’s Great Clips always take exceptional care of me. I’ve been a loyal customer there for years and am definitely a satisfied client. Plus, they take good care of the poinsettia I drop off each Holiday Season in gratitude for the personal attention I receive at each visit."
"Think about what buisness you want to support in this town. I'm so absolutely DISGUSTED right now and FUMING MAD I took my 24 year old daughter who has Down Syndrome to Great Clips in SHAWS plaza for a haircut and blow dry on her BIRTHDAY. I was short on time so didn't go to my usual hairdresser (huge mistake) as Alexa wanted it done TODAY. Shocking to me. SO go to Great Clips There were 3 employees there The new guy with glasses who was cutting/blow drying A tall woman with brown hair and some purple in it ( I have purple hair so not judging just describing for future clients) Older man with white hair The new guy was having difficulty learning the blow dryer. New to haircuts etc. No problem. We were patient and kind. After the two workers who were trying to help him learn he says something like "Sorry Im so RETARDED with learning the blow dryer"... My jaw almost fell to the floor. He's literally working WITH MY DAUGHTER! Before I could say anything the woman says something in response also using the word RETARDED and they share a laugh. I don't recall her words verbatim at this point because the fire that came up from feet was INSANE. TWO OF YOU? ARE YOU SERIOUS?! I jumped in and said I can't believe your choice of words right now, especially in this circumstance! The woman side glances me and says it wasn't meant like that it's just a word and attempts to go on and defend her ignorance. I'm like there's so many words you could use. You should consider expanding your vocabulary. I'm completely disgusted right now you'd say such things especially in this situation and try to defend it. She goes on like it's no big deal...like how INSANELY IGNORANT CAN YOU BE? I told her If I were you I'd STOP saying anything else to defend what you said. She still tries to say it is no big deal...etc. I had all I could do not to lose it. I kept my cool. Had Alexa get up so I could pay and leave. White hair guy never says a word... The new guy is like thanks for letting me learn to blow dry today and sorry for what I said...its not meant bad it's just a word. I was like hopefully you all learn more today than how to blow dry hair. He's like it wasn't a big deal but it's your right to be mad if you want to be... I said listen don't treat me like I'm over reacting or try to justify the choice of words. This was the worst experience and you should really have some self reflection on this. All of you! The guy with the white hair said nothing...they look at me like I'm INSANE or overly sensitive. I paid and tipped...as a bigger person but hindsight wish I didn't I'm shaking and so disappointed. People pretend to have inclusion and be accepting...Karma is a funny thing If RETARDED is in your vocabulary and you use it without thought, so much so that you CHOOSE this verbiage in any environment you really need to BETTER YOURSELF."
"I had previously received stellar service and haircuts. The most recent haircut I received on 8/12 was a total disaster. The stylist ignored both my verbal instructions and the notes in the system. My hair was butchered. And this was after I had told the stylist I was getting the cut in preparation for important business meetings this week. I will not be going to this location again and will be requesting my family and friends do the same."
"My fiancé just walked out with the worst haircut I have ever seen in my life hahaha. The woman was trying to put a second guard on the clippers and he had to tell her there was already one on it and THIS is how she let him leave. Do not recommend this women needs a new career."
"Im dissapointed, even though we were a walk in. Youd think theyd try. My daughters hair was so long, perfect length to get whatever style she wanted, which did not happen. I had to go back in to have her try again because they did not cut the back short enough it was all the same length. When I went back in I asked not to cut the front, to leave that length. I even showed a picture.. She cut her whole head shorter!! Much shorter including the front! The style my daughter wanted is not attainable now. Its all basically one length. Its my fault for going to Great Clips I guess. Won't be doing that again. They do what they think looks good, not what you ask for. My sons hair is not much better, one sides ok the others not."
