"One of THE BEST hair salon experiences of my life. I have long, blonde, curly hair and am way low maintenance. Laurie was absolutely amazing. She listened to what I wanted done and did it (without doing too much or taking off too much) and I am very happy with the result. I have some sensitivities to perfumes and chemical additives and going to the salon can difficult bc they love to use product and will often push the products. Laurie totally got that I wasn’t into it, respected my preference and never pushed anything. my hair looks amazing, amazing. She was absolutely easy to be around and work with as well. I am so grateful to have found Positive Directions and so grateful to Laurie for the wonderful haircut and overall positive experience!"

"I had a cut and dry with Donna, and she was great! I just moved to Dover from out of state, and it can be nerve-wracking trying to find a new salon/stylist, especially with curly hair! I explained what I wanted, Donna gave suggestions based on her professional experience, and we agreed on a plan. I was very pleased with the outcome! Donna styled my hair curly, and offered to do a blowout so I could see how it would look both ways. It was great to be able to see it both ways and have her make adjustments as needed based on how it looked. I was very pleased with the service, and will definitely go back to Positive Directions--and ask for Donna! Oh, and I've gotten lots of compliments on my new style. :)"

"Amazing experience! Hands down the best haircut I've had and a great experience to boot! I hadn't cut my hair in a while and needed a cut badly. I didn't know anywhere in town so I just googled hair salon, called them up and made an appointment. After convincing my hair stylist that I could handle a 12+ inch cut, she worked her magic, showed me how to style my new 'do and even straightened it, just for fun. I will definitely be back to get my hair cut again!"

"I am not a review-writer, but I just had to write one for the absolutely amazing experience I had at Positive Directions last Saturday. It was my first time in the salon and I was greeted genuinely and warmly. My hair appointment was with Laura Duffy, and she was meticulous and precise from the beginning. She was the first stylist to ever actually consider my hair type, texture and the first to actively listen to what I had to say about my challenges that I have with my thick, coarse and impossible-to-manage hair. She showed me two different ways to style my hair and went well out of her way to make sure that I understood exactly how to style it. The cut is absolutely perfect. I wore my hair down naturally (without blow dryer or flat iron) today for the first time ever and couldn't believe how great it looked and felt.
