"Better Prices than The Home Depot. A LOCAL Lumber Company. They have selection none of the Big Box Stores don’t have. They carry Brick and Block too. Always had good Service there, without ANY Bad Experiences!"
"They are closed way too often. Much better hours at Home Depot and Lowes and better prices. Also I get veterans discount every time at Lowes and home depot. I don't even have to ask for it."
"Ever since I started my business there with them I will never go back to Home Depot or any place else excellent service customer appreciation the employees are outstanding prices are reasonable delivery service is very prompt and quick excellent drivers well mannered very respectful"
"I wanted to like this place. I have shopped here a half dozen times and spent thousands of dollars. They initially were very reasonable and offered savings, including by paying with cash. Since my first trip though they have disappointed me and left me wondering why I would drive here. The discount for paying with cash was never extended to me again after the first trip. The prices fluctuate from day to day and from the same pallet of wood. I know prices for raw materials are going up, but called on a Tuesday and was quoted one price and drove up on Wednesday morning and they wanted .50 cents more a foot. They refused to even address why the huge increase and I lost a sale from this, as I quoted the customer on the original cost. I guess you cannot trust them for a quote as they do not care about their customers and are not concerned about making sales. I completely understand when cost increase, but Record has a nonchalant attitude that left me saying why would I drive all this way when I could go to a big box store and get the same low quality of service. I recently could not find cedar anywhere else and against my better judgement decided to give them one more try. I had a customer needing cedar and called to inquire about this. I was told they would call me back. When they called back they said they did not have any, but would need to check the warehouse to see if there was another pallet. They could not currently check because they were with a customer and would need to call me back again. I am not sure why you would call a customer, at least that was what I thought I was, to tell them they were not important enough and that you would need to call them back again. I am sorry I was an inconvenience to Record and wanting to buy seven hundred dollars worth of cedar. They eventually called to say they had it in stock. I told them I was about 35 minutes away and was on my way. Low and behold I arrived and they did not have any cedar. They never had any cedar and thought I was talking about something else. I specifically had said 5/4 x6x10 cedar boards and they failed on so many levels. They did not offer an apology or seem to care that I had spent two plus hours on the phone and driving up to buy what they assured me they had on the phone 40 minutes earlier. I could understand an honest mistake, but this was so many failures all at once that I felt compelled to finally share my experience. Record building is not a good company and they treat their customers horribly. Maybe a local can get a box of screws or whatever, but I would not refer them to anyone and would be personally appalled to treat a customer the way they have on way too many occasions. Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere, as Record Building Supply is not worth the time, effort, and hard earned dollars."
"I have been doing business at Record's for many years. Always friendly and helpful. It's a plus that it's local family run. Great selection of construction products. During the social distancing press that we are under, they are happy to take an order over the phone and load your truck for you. All with a smile."
