"YMCA is always hiring, and what are you waiting to apply for so you can help the YMCA be a better place? @LeonShackelford., what are you doing to make it better? The picture you posted is human hair. People should be more clean on other people's property. Unfortunately, you went at the wrong time. The places old everything cost money, and they are doing their best to keep it staying. The YMCA is a non-profit organization, which means it benefits from generous donations from people like you & me. Thank you, YMCA, for always giving back to the community and my family."
"It is essential to provide constructive feedback instead of criticizing a business in reviews. If you encounter any problems, kindly inform the front desk to assist you better. They cannot read your mind, so please extend your cooperation. It is imperative to note that if you need something, you should go in person. The front desk is manned by only one person, and people are coming in and phones are ringing every minute. Remember, they are human beings just like you and me. Any cancellations must be done in person. Though the building may be old, the staff is doing an excellent job of keeping it in good condition. It is important to understand that everything costs money. YMCA is a non-profit organization, which means it relies on donations from people like you. Some members may only pay $35 or less, depending on their income. Members can enjoy state-of-the-art cardio, strength, and free weight equipment, pools for all ages and skill levels, initial and ongoing wellness consultations for free, affordable and accessible personal training programs, group exercise for all ages at no additional cost, including aerobics, Zumba, Pilates, indoor cycling, yoga, and Les Mills. With a family membership, you can avail yourself of free kid's care while you work out, early registration, discounted rates on programs, support programs designed to address chronic health issues such as cancer, pre-diabetes, Parkinson's, and arthritis, multi-sibling benefits for session-based programs (with Family and Individual Plus Membership), and nationwide membership at any participating YMCA in the United States. Financial assistance is also available for those who qualify."
"My two daughters take swim lessons here, but the place is very run down and disgusting. Looking around you would assume they never clean or wipe anything down. There is rust and chipped paint everywhere you look. A lot of the swim teachers chit chat and start classes late which stinks for the parents/children. The price of swim lessons is very pricey especially for non members, so please train your staff to pay attention to the clock. I like to shower my kids before we come because the showers here are NASTY, but they now force you to take a shower in their dirty facilities before your swim lesson. If your hair isn’t soaked, they send you back to the dirty showers. These grotesque bathrooms are probably causing a lot of bacteria in the pool water. The pool is constantly getting closed down for weeks on end. Many swim lessons have been canceled. Thankfully they do refund for each cancellation. Additionally, there is barely anywhere for parents to sit since they took the bleachers out of the pool room. Parents must watch through the dirty windows. I never get a seat! I always have to stand up for the entire swim lesson and can barely see my child. They put huge pieces of equipment in front of the windows as well, further blocking the view of our children. For the money you’re charging parents, please update and CLEAN your facilities. The place feels like a prison/dungeon. Mostly all the staff I have dealt with are rude and condescending. There are a few very nice staff members here also. Please do better all around!"
