"They have such a huge variety of dance classes to choose from! Love the community vibe it provides as well. The building could use some TLC, however."
"One of the best studios in the Boston area. Great faculty, plenty of studios, and fair prices."
"Dance Complex has HEART. There are so many wonderful classes here and it is an inclusive space filled with good energy. EVERYONE is welcome, and no one should feel shy or excluded from dance. I highly recommend Liz Lapuh's ballet classes and Jenny Oliver's Modern Connections. Both are excellent teachers with amazing technique, but will make anyone feel welcome, from beginners to experienced dancers. As someone who danced in my youth, I appreciate highly trained teachers and technical classes, but as an adult who just wants to enjoy dancing for my body and soul, I also appreciate the inclusive and supportive environment of these classes. There is something for everyone here."
"So much have changed here. Recently started taking classes and I love it. Bathroom are kept clean, it's super easy to take classes here. You do have to sign in with the instructors online or walk-in and pay in person. Would absolutely recommend you create an account on mind and body, follow the in-person schedule and go from there. Majority of the studios are very spacious as well. The staff is super awesome and amicable, which makes you want to keep coming back. And I love how they started incorporating mindfulness practices before/during majority of the classes. And a wide variety of dance genres and cultures. Overall great experience, love this place."
"Three-floored community with a variety of dance classes. Came here on a Saturday for an impromptu Samba dance class at 1:30pm. It’s just one stop away on the red line from Harvard, so it’s a convenient option for students. It’s $15 for the samba class, but they’ll take cash and credit card. There’s a Santander right across the street if you need an ATM, since some of the classes are cash only. Note for Bank of America cardholders, there is a $3 ATM fee. There is a gender neutral bathroom available The 1:30-3pm Samba class was super fun. It was my first time doing Samba, but the teacher was super energetic and there are plenty of other beginners so you don’t have to feel awkward. You can put your stuff on the right hand side along the wall, and there’s plenty of mirror space so you can watch yourself shake it. There were people of all ages and it was good vibes all around. It started with a warm up and then payment, and then the actual Samba class. There was even a live band that played while we danced. At the end, there was a dance circle and everyone left sweaty but happy. The dance center overall is a cool spot and you can try out a number of different dance styles and classes no matter what age you are. I noticed on the bulletin board they have kid classes as well."
