The teachers and director are all exceptional people- so knowledgable, kind, and approachable. Every time I go into the school I am amazed by the thoughtful and creative activities her teachers have been engaging her in, in addition to her weekly music and studio time. Newtowne also excels at communication with parents- we get weekly school newsletters and each classroom has a blog so we can follow along with what my daughter is learning, in addition to daily check ins with teachers at drop off and pick up. A great community of people who really care about young children."

The environment inspires creativity and allows the kids to explore and learn about how things work. This year her classroom has a makerspace and she has really developed an interest in building and creating things. "We LOVE Newtowne. It is a lovely, warm, and inviting space for children to learn. Our son has been there for 2 years, and we can't wait for our daughter to be old enough to go as well in a couple years. The school, and its teachers, take great pride and care in their teaching. Everytime we drop our son off at school, there are various interesting learning stations set up around the classroom, inviting him and his classmates to explore and learn how things works. There is an emphasis on kindness, which is much needed in today's world, and community. We can't recommend it more highly."

"We have been going to Newtowne for 3 years (2 years with my daughter, and now my son's first year). It is an amazing, magical place. The care and attention they show the children is so special - there is real respect for childhood, and they treat the children as independent, real people. The teachers are kind, loving, creative, and so thoughtful about every aspect of the classroom experience. It is a co-op, so there is a fair amount of parent involvement, but you really know what is happening in the classroom, as well as the other children and families. It is a great community, and a really beautiful place to begin the school experience."
