"Hands down the best bike shop in the area. I had an issue with my rear hub and they took the time to carefully explain what the problem was, how to prevent it from happening in the future, and their thought process for repair. Super fair prices as well. Will definitely be coming back!"
"Very friendly team. I had an issue with the gear system on my bike and the people fixed it up without any issue. The man helping me also gave me a rundown on how to maintain my tire pressure with their pumps. The atmosphere is nice to be in, and the work is immaculate."
"Amazing staff, welcoming vibe. As an immigrant, sometimes I'm scared to go to shops because I don't know how to communicate my needs. But they were super helpful and nice when I needed to change the work order due to my budget. The way they communicate makes the whole process stress free. I went back a second time for my flat tire and they got it fixed in no time with a bill that my friends say is low for a shop in the city! Will definitely go back when I need my bike fixed again. Oh and they're super willing to educate and share knowledge about bikes and biking in the city, which I'm grateful for."
"I went to Broadway Bicycle School for a full tune up after receiving a hand-me-down bicycle from a friend that I had no idea how to either assess or fix. I care about cooperatively run workplaces so even though Broadway was a little out of my way I decided to check them out first. The first impressions were incredibly positive. When I went (summer 2023) the staff were all wearing masks (not required for customers) which to me was the first indicator that they really care about their community. The staff person then took a look at my bike and walked me through everything they might do piece by piece. They wrote up a comprehensive and detailed estimate which gave me the opportunity to say which repairs I wanted and which I would do later. Even though I knew nothing about bikes, the way they explained the how and why of the repairs made me feel like I was making informed choices. The repairs were completed before the promised date and confirmed via email and text (a process I really liked). My pick-up experience was the cherry on top of the whole process. The person checking me out again explained everything they do, including having multiple riders do a final pass on the bike before it is considered complete. When I was leaving I awkwardly said “see you soon … or actually I hope I don’t!” Implying that I hoped the work was well-done enough that I wouldn’t have to return. To which the staff person replied something to the effect of, “well actually, I hope I see you on the road!” And went on to describe their quirky and unique helmet decoration. It made me, a more novice cyclist feel part of the urban biking community! When reviewing I like to wait a few weeks so I can assess the lasting quality of the work rather than just the customer service. So far I have zero complaints. The bike runs very well and makes me enjoy riding! I hope to take one of their classes when I have more time."
