"5 Stars just isn't enough for Karate International of Windham. Shihan Joe and Sensei Shannon have created an environment where my child not only learns karate and self-defense but he thrives and is challenged. Our son started going to Karate International about 5 years ago and we absolutely love it there. Shihan and Sensei are excellent at working with the kids and don't allow anyone to slide. In addition, their patience and genuine care for the kids is evident from the moment you walk into the dojo. When everything closed in 2020, they continued to stay engaged with the students via zoom and they checked in on our son to see how he was doing. They have been a constant source of support and encouragement for our son and family, for which we are very grateful. We consider Shihan, Sensei and all the instructors at Karate International to be an extension of our family and we highly recommend this karate school."

Their interaction with students of all ages is amazing.... patient, self disciplined, interactive, and fun. "I trained at KI of Windham with Shihan Joe Costa for approximately 10 years, ultimately earning my black belt in Kenpo Karate. The staff is dedicated to the students, encouraging the desire to continue learning and advancing skills in all age groups, from the "Little Dragons" to the gray-haired adults, my group. My daughter was a fixture there, earning her second degree black belt and becoming an instructor. My son was in a different local karate dojo but my experience with Shihan Joe and Sensai Shannon made me transfer him to KI in Windham.
