The Old Observatory is a university located at College Green in Norton, Massachusetts, United States. Within six months of graduation, Wheaton alums are employed, enrolled in graduate school or participating in a fellowship. Wheaton guarantees that every student will have access to funding for a professional or research-based internship before their senior year. Students at the Old Observatory can choose to concentrate in a single major, pursue an interdisciplinary program, focus on multiple areas, or even design an independent major. The institution is committed to providing a college education to talented students from all economic backgrounds, both domestically and internationally.

The Old Observatory has been recognized by the U.S. Department of State for its high number of students selected for the Fulbright U.S. Student Program. The institution has also received a grant from Art Bridges to support inclusive initiatives in the Beard and Weil galleries. Additionally, a Wheaton College senior has won a Thomas J. Watson Fellowship to travel to Nigeria, Singapore, and Hong Kong in search of resistance in writing.

Wheaton's Giving Circles are designed to maximize group donations for academic programs, scholarship support, and campus preservation. The Gentlemen Callers, a close-knit community at the Old Observatory, extends beyond graduation. The institution has also established the Wheaton Pride Scholarship for students actively engaged in LGBTQ advocacy.
