University at Albany Alumni Quad

"I loved dorming at this quad during my time at UAlbany. Although making friends was somewhat difficult, so I figured this would be a good time for me to be productive and independent. I was placed in the sayles building in which I was able to access the only parking lot that existed instead of parking on the street. I got to make use of my room as a place to do work and study, the dining hall was pretty good; all you can eat type of area, along with being able to access the gym to get my lifts in on a weekly basis. Only flaws is not having a screen on my window and it never got replaced after I requested it several times, and no heat until the end of October in which my room got down to 50 degrees. Overall, the staff was great except for one staff member who didn't really like me that much!!"

"Stayed with a friend for a couple nights. Beautiful dorm rooms, wood furnished floors, spacious windows. High enough ceilings. Close to campus shuttle and city busses. Only downside... All bathrooms are locked with unique keys!! You can't use a restroom in another dorm unless someone else let's you in."

"I went to Alumni Quad to visit a friend and study for finals. I have been on every quad on the uptown campus so visiting this quad was a little different. The rooms are bigger and nicer than the ones on let's say Indian or State quad. The main downside is that they're are only communal bathrooms on this entire quad which is kind of disgusting to me because college girls especially are very dirty so I would definitely rather live somewhere with at least suite bathrooms."

"Alumni Quad is the best Quad at the University at Albany. It's downtown which is very convenient for going out and it's by a lot of things in the city. It gives you an opportunity to explore the city. The rooms are bigger on Alumni and you don't have to worry about being in a triple. The new dining hall set up is also nice."
