"Let me start by saying- I have shopped in this store before and purchased several things. Today, while walking through town and shopping, I stopped in Nalu. I was on the phone while browsing. Not loud on the phone- just talking quietly. The owner (I assume) walked over and said - “if you intend on talking on the phone- please go outside.” To which I responded, “why, I’m not bothering anyone, as a matter of fact, no one is even in here. “ I don’t want anyone in my store talking on the phone - she responded. As a small boutique owner myself, I would never say that to the many customers who come into my shop on a daily basis on the phone. What is the problem? As I left, I told her I would never be back- she responded “have a nice day”. Never ever again will I step foot in her store."

"This woman's boutique is fabulous ! The owner has an incredible eye for culling fine prices ! We spent about 30 minutes in this shop on the way back from the Atheneum trying to purchase tickets to the Manhattan Short Film Festival last night and could have easily spent another hour looking at all the merchandise ! Could definitely say I am thrilled we were not able to get tickets after stumbling into this JEM. Will definitely become one of my must stops when on Nantucket !"
