"Carole is the most helpful sales person I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with! Thanks Carole!!"
"I have had very positive experiences shopping in McLaughlin in concord. The staff is helpful, friendly and spend the time to find product for me in my size from other stores. Everyone is welcoming and I recommend this store to friends because there is a nice range of styles and a pleasant. Place to shop."
"Concord is a lovely town with warm, friendly people -- that's why I was shocked by the treatment I received the last time I visited this J.McLaughlin. There was a street-festival going on in downtown Concord where stores in the area were giving away food, drinks, samples, etc to entice customers to patronize local stores. I love J.McLaughlin clothes, so I walked in. There was a table inside the store where the associate was pouring small cups of sparkling water at a table to give out to customers. Sipping some cold sparkling water while shopping for a new summer dress --- lovely idea right?! WRONG - I walked up to the associate intending to ask for a cup of water -- before I could even open my mouth, the associate pointed outside and said to me "clearance items are back outside" No offer of sparkling water, just a short , rude tone of voice and a gesture to go outside, while the two other ladies that followed me into the store got sparkling water and a warmer welcome INTO the store. Was there something about my appearance that made her think I can't afford the full-priced clothes on the inside? I'm a minority in a heavily white but very welcoming town --- I almost never encounter overt racism--- that's why this was such a shock! I haven't gone into the store since."
