Soul Fire Farm
About the Business
Soul Fire Farm is a community farm located in Petersburgh, New York, dedicated to uprooting racism and promoting food sovereignty. Our Afro-Indigenous centered approach aims to distribute life-giving food in order to end food apartheid. We honor the wisdom of our ancestors and work to reclaim our right to belong to the earth and have agency in the food system. Through sustainable agriculture, natural building, spiritual activism, health, and environmental justice, we bring diverse communities together on our healing land.
Our programs reach over 35,000 people annually, including farmer training for Black and Brown growers, reparations and land return initiatives, food justice workshops for urban youth, home gardens for those living under food apartheid, and more. As a 501c3 nonprofit educational organization, we are committed to training the next generation of activist-farmers and strengthening movements for food sovereignty and community self-determination.
If you are interested in attending a workshop, lecture, or youth event, please request us. You can also support our work and team by making a donation. Please register for our programs before visiting the farm. Join us in our mission to create a more just and equitable food system.

"Beautiful land, structures and people. I was here for both the past Winter and Summer Solstices and had an amazing time. Meeting folks, dancing, enjoying the food vendors, or quiet spaces for yoga and/or meditation or the option of sitting outside near the beautiful pond and trees. I found it to be a wonderful community of folks sharing space and energy. I’ve recently registered for the herbal remedies course to be held here and am really looking forward to it!"
"My experience here was amazing and I can't wait for the next solstice party!"

"I have been to Soul Fire Farm a few times and I like the work they do to promote BIPOC farmers. They are in the forefront of ending food injustice and racism. They give workshops, do outreach, educate, and foster a reconnection to the land for BIPOC people."
"Soul Fire Farm Rocks! We are members of the CSA and get beautiful boxes of food all summer, lovingly farmed and tended by Jonah, Leah and their amazing family and tribe. Honored to break bread with them."
