"Really wonderful learning environment"
"We have put all three of our kids through Neighborhood. The best part is how kind, thoughtful, and respectful they are to everyone they meet: this school teaches people how to talk to one another and resolve conflicts peacefully. On the academic side, they absolutely LOVE learning anything and everything. My oldest son is now an honors student in public middle school after finishing sixth grade at Neighborhood last year. Think you can't afford it? Think again! It's worth making sacrifices for."
"This is an amazing group of people. The staff and faculty are phenomenal, my daughter is thriving, and it's a joy and a privilege to be a part of the community here. And, full disclosure, I'm such a fan of Neighborhood that I became a board member (which is really saying something coming from a guy like me who usually avoids getting involved with volunteer work!) The philosophy here is fantastic - the teachers keep up to date on the latest and greatest educational research, and strongly eschew the "No Child Left Behind" model of constant standardized testing and pressuring kids who should be learning how to learn and socialize. Beyond all that, I'm absolutely in love with the location. It sits on top of a funky and bright hill in Brattleboro, right at a trailhead that leads to miles and miles of beautiful trails - it's got two awesome playgrounds, obstacle courses in the woods, and the woods themselves are dotted with all of these debris huts that the kids learned how to make as part of the outdoor program here. It's worth a visit for sure if you're looking to invest in amazing early childhood education."
