"It’s very cool that we have a world-class circus school right here in lil’ ol’ Brattleboro! My kids have both done classes and camps here and enjoyed them, the “trapezium” is impressive AF and I really love the way NECCA is integrated into the local community—it seems like they have a presence at every local event and fundraiser and I like the vibe they add to the town. I took one star off cause their kids programming is pretty rigid—they do the same thing in all of the camps and seem more focused on the show they put on at the end of the week than on the kids having fun and learning new things. Also their parking lot is a nightmare and they will low-key shame you for showing up late even if the reason you’re late is because you had to scale a snowbank to park there."

"I took a class at NECCA called Aerial Fitness this summer. The description said it was open to all levels. Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy this experience, to a point, of skipping a few classes towards the end (something, I never do): the teacher never once broke down the movements, or more importantly, approached me (we only had 5 students) and touched my body to show me what muscles I should use and how to get my body in certain positions I've never done before, including inversions. Having taking many dance classes in my past, as well as being taught various body movements, I was disappointed at the level of instruction. If a person has never done any aerials, a teacher must explain to the brain as well as the body, what it must do. I could see the woman teaching the class doing tricks easily, but that doesn't equal to teaching others' bodies to do the same. I don't think I'll be coming back to NECCA to get instruction. For the price I paid ($25 per each class), I didn't learn anything new, and not for the lack of wanting."
