"Used to work here and it was the worst job I've ever had. The employees drink on the job and I worked with someone who only cared about getting drunk and high and made me do all the work. He also carried a pistol and tried to act tough with it as if he was threatening me. Management is very unprofessional. They had my last check sitting in their office and when I asked them to mail it to me, they said I had to come pick it up. I told them no, I want it mailed. So I waited a month and still nothing. Long story short, it took 2 months for my check to get resolved and deposited into my account. Now it's tax season and I'm waiting for them to send my W2 and end of January still nothing. I called them and they said it's in the office. They're supposed to send it in the mail. I don't work there anymore so I shouldn't have to go pick it up. Well I'm done waiting so I went to go pick it up. The lady that answered the phone wasn't even going to get my information so how were they going to know who to send it to? I walked there to pick it up and was told it wasn't there. I asked to talk to the owner who told me it was already mailed out! He was also super unprofessional trying to act tough with me. Super unorganized and unprofessional company. If I don't receive my W2 by the 31st, I'm calling the IRS. Also when I worked there, they would leave dirty dishes overnight to be done the next day. The employees had a "420 smoke corner" where they would smoke their weed and tried getting me to partake. Completely unsanitary. I wouldn't even suggest going here as a patron."
"I didn't stay at the Inn but ate at the restaurant The Spalding Steak & Ale attached to the Governor's Inn. The food was excellent and the portions were a good size. The service was very slow. They had a function that was going on although the dining area was pretty small but quaint. Very lovely inside! I would highly recommend, but consider going at a time when there aren't any functions going on."
"Extremely disappointed with our experience. It is Thanksgiving so we were asked to check in before they closed the front desk. When we arrived later in the night the key they gave us did not work. No one is at the front desk. No one answered the emergency number. My 75 year old parents are sleeping in a full bed in my brother's room because theirs is completely unaccessible."
"Small but cozy place with pub like feel. Food is up scale but without upscale prices. Clean and comfortable.Try the flat bread pizza. Good portions with enough to take home."
"We were disappointed with our stay here because our room with nothing like what was pictured online. It was quiet and the bed was very comfortable. The room was clean and it was a large room. But the room that we check into was on the very top level where the ceilings were tapered so you could not walk upright when you got out of the bed. I hit my head two or three times in our one night stay here. I think our stay would have been much better if we had been able to have a room that was tall enough to walk in without hitting our head. At my age, I have to go to the restroom a couple of times at night. This room would be better for younger people who do not have to get up in the middle of the night. They provide a continental breakfast in the morning which is cereal and baked items. The stay was okay, but our room was a little disappointed since the ceiling was so low."
