"They'll kick your kid out because they don't know how to check their messages."
"Although it took a long time to get appointments the staff has been amazing and my child is thriving. Her speech has improved alot. The staff has always been kind and understanding towards her.She has Autism 3 and I'm happy with her improvements"
"Very upset with our experience here. It was amazing at first but then just went completely down hill. My 17 month old has brain damage and isn’t walking or talking which is why we came here. After a couple weeks and things getting really good for my daughter, multiple appointments started being canceled, changed, or with some one we didn’t know. At one of the appointments, I didn’t know it was canceled, and they let us sit there waiting for 25 minutes. Eventually I got up and asked if the therapist was there and they said no. So why would you let us sit there waiting for so long? Anyone with a baby knows this isn’t fun for baby or parent. Then, finally, her therapist comes back or whatever, works with my daughter for 20 minutes then GIVES UP! AND suggests we work with someone else. I’m just fed up and tired of these therapists not trying or caring about their clients. Will not be coming back here. Will not be referring anyone here. Company should be ashamed."
"My son was in early intervention and continued Speech Therapy through the Schwartz Center at Possa Place. The coordinator/therapist? we had has left us bewildered, angry, and hurt. At first he was fine going into the sessions and then at one point in November he stopped going into the room willingly and started to have crying fits due to not wanting to go in and would not engage anymore. He always napped prior to the sessions yet she insisted on trying for a different time. After the constant push we agreed to try it once because we knew it would not make a difference and hopefully it would end the push for different time change. When we called 4 days prior to the scheduled appt because transportation was an issue, they informed us EVERY appointment was switched to the different time because she wanted to “see if that would help or it was time for a break” 1) we never were told/agreed to change all his designated spots we only agreed to one time because - we the parents - knew it was not going to help 2) to find out that she wanted to end services from the intake coorindator was HIGHLY UNACCEPTABLE. It should have been brought to our attention that she - a trained individual at Schwartz Center, a center aimed for children - couldn’t handle a child crying for 15 minutes. We were told we would be placed on a wait list and it has been several months with no response or any ETA of service (at least tell us how long the wait is) We supposedly spoke to her superviseor who was unbothered and brushed us off. He had a few different clinicians that were covering days from his assigned person and he did awesome with them, so not all there are awful but from our experience with his and the supervisor — one star."
"I am so upset with this school, how can you get a parent hopes up with talks about prom and then make so it's on a Thursday night and it's for 3 hours and 2 weeks notice of date and time???Parents have to work in the morning, my child has to be up for school in the morning. What I think this John Kershaw is doing is using it for more publicity!!!! Come on now, how about you "John" do something for the children instead of hyping up your status with the community!!! My child and other children deserve better.. Why don't you instead tell people of the things that you are taking away from the children. I do not see anything good coming from this school. All I see is over worked staff, that is not benefitting my child. Please tell me something that you are doing!!!!! The only changes that you " John Kershaw " and Meeting Street have made for this school is for the better of Meeting Streets pockets!!! I am so disgusted with what this school has come too!!!!"
