"We had our son there from 2018-2019. He started at 4minths old. Having my son at Barbara's was like having a third grandmother. Barbara made sure to go or her capacity and I only took the number of kids, including age range (I think she only took 1-2 kids my son's age of 4months) she could handle/care for best. Barbara was so nurturing and took such care and time with kids and parents. I didn't work far away and her door was always open to parents to drop by (which I definitely took advantage of early on because I was a new parent and my son was my first). Barbara was so patient. She also always gave parents a daily index card with notes about their child. I still have some of those as keep sakes! And she would chat at length at pick-up if you wanted to. Just such a delight to interact with. She was also proactive about any behavioral issues among kids and I very much appreciated her handling of anything that came up like that. If we were still in the area (we have since moved) I would most definitely take my other children there. We still send Barbara and her daughter Christmas cards. This was the perfect at-home experience we could've asked for coming to Boston for the first time and not knowing much about the child care infrastructure."

It was a totally positive experience, from the friendly morning greetings every day to the detailed daily report at pickup. Leaving your small baby at daycare is tough, but Barbara very quickly became a partner in helping her thrive and grow. She works with parents to accommodate the individual child's needs for naptime and eating habits and quickly becomes a favorite with the children. She allows the children free play time all throughout the day but helps them learn the basics as they play. She strives to have the children play in the outside shady playground as often as weather allows. She's a natural, having a lot of experience with all types of kids, and we highly recommend her."

Leaving your child with someone is difficult, but I never worried for my daughter when she was with Barbara. Each morning Barbara greeted us with a smile and was a master at the hand-off process. Her home is full of educational toys and activities. The children would spend time inside and outside depending on the weather. At pick up, I found a happy and healthy little girl who seemed to have enjoyed her day. Barbara always described the day in full, including the content of the nutritious meals that she would provide."
