Pools Etc

"Ordered a winter pool cover Sept 6. Received confirmation of my order. Since then, nothing. I've had to call twice to find out where it's at to which they say "it's being shipped from manufacturer, we'll have to call them". Maybe I have higher standards in todays amazon world, but I expect email notifications or something to advise me what's going on, i shouldn't have to chase them down for it. I'm giving them one more chance to fulfill the order then time to cancel and find someplace else. Price was attractive and what got my attention, but I wish I would have read some of the other reviews regarding this very same thing. I'll update my situation as things develop.... Update: 10/9/23. On September 25th I received an email from Pools Etc saying my cover is shipping "this week". Here I am a little over two weeks later and nothing. I call in to ask them for Meyco's specific order number so I can call Meyco directly to check on the status and the customer service rep I talk to says "she doesn't have access to that, I'll have to go to my supervisor who is out today". What? Apparently Meyco gives them a specific order number but Pools Etc uses their own system. This is ridiculous. When I called Meyco direct they said covers can take a month to make and deliver. It's been 6 weeks so far with the only communication from Pools Etc when I ask them a question. Update 10/18: Finally talked to a manager last Friday. Said he'd call me back. 5 days later no voicemails, emails, or texts. Called again today, he's not in but was told he'll call back. People who answer phone can't even cancel my order, he has to do it? It's been a terrible decision doing business with this company and a miserable experience. I've given them every opportunity and been more than patient, they are plain unresponsive and don't care. 10/27: I received my cover. Finally. Manager said "they had a problem with their computer system and the order was never sent to Meyco". Weird, because his employees had been giving me order numbers all along. Anyway, the people at Meyco could not have been any nicer and helpful when I'd call them to check up on these people. Pools Etc on the other hand, if I could give then negative stars I would. Thank goodness this ordeal is over."

"Buyers Beware! This company is not able to fulfill orders nor refund your money back. Their go to lie is to promise the product to be in within 2 weeks as well as tell you they will refund your money by the end of the week. 3 months later I still have no refund. They clearly get by scamming people. Recreation Discount Wholesale is the corporate name & they’ve changed their DBA a few times, now pools inc. sketchy business practices & a bunch of liars."

"Do not do business with this company, they are a scam. I ordered a pool in May of 2020 for $3500. and never received it. In July of 2020, I cancelled the order and have never received a refund. I have been calling Shawn ever since repeatedly and all I ever get is excuses. They must plan on stealing my money like they have done to countless others over the years that have never gotten their refunds either. This is robbery and yet the law has never caught up with them. Read some of the reviews going back several years and you will see the same old story, people trying to get refunds or satisfactions just being ignored, hung-up on, saying the check is in the mail when it isn’t, etc. Bob O"

"Amazing costumer service!! I was a bit skeptic about ordering from them because I read the reviews before and they were all negative feedbacks but I took my chance and gave them the opportunity. I called to place my order by phone and Shawn was very helpful with my order process. He gave me an estimate delivery time of a week but my order arrived in 4 DAYS!!!!everything arrived as ordered. I will definitely order from them again."

"After purchasing a product from the website they never delivered the product, kept saying it would be “two more weeks” for almost 2 months. I then requested a refund a 2 months later after numerous calls and emails they still have not refunded my money. Filed a BBB complaint and sent them a demand notice and they still haven’t refunded my money. These people are borderline criminals and would recommend you purchase elsewhere.."
