"Would’ve given 5 ⭐️but the manager (older woman) talked very rudely and tried embarrassing us simply bc we where using a voucher , this was the first time ever having to use one but had to for winter clothes for our children bc my husband was hurt at his job he has worked at for many many years and just recently got hurt on the job and we have no income so we called and got a voucher to help us with clothing , we are not non working users and to be treated like she did us was insulting and unnecessary! The clothing wasn’t seperated well and was all over the place so it isnt like she was making sure the store was set up easily to find the clothing !! But I honestly wont recommend or be back simply bc of that manager ! Btw if she reads this that is not how you should treat customers! Nomatter how they are paying !!"
"Found a pair of pants I really wanted but they had no tag. The lady that helped me (Denise) refused to sell them to me and I offered to pay way more than I knew they would be priced as. She said it was store policy and it has to go through re-processing. So frustrating after spending an hour in that store and she was no help to me/kind of rude, and refused to put them on hold when I told her I would literally come back for them. Came back the next three days and couldn’t find them anywhere. If this is actually the store policy you guys should really figure it out because at this point you’re turning away customers and losing money."
"**DEC 2022 UPDATE:** This store had a MAJOR glow up!! The ceiling and lights has been repaired, merchandise has been reorganized (including an expanded accessories/shoes section) - everything feels cleaner and brighter. The prices remain fair (MUCH better than Savers down the street) and the daily tag sales are still amazing! Balanced mix of vintage, designer, no-name, department/mall store, indie, and fast-fashion clothing brands. You can tell that the garments are curated - almost everything is cute and/or unique and/or elegant. Inventory switches up seasonally. Impressive selection of sizes (petite, juniors, mid-size, plus-size). Oh and the furniture section is full of steals if you’re willing to put in a little TLC. Staff is kind, polite, helpful, and works hard to keep the racks organized. I’m calling it - Salvation Army Hanover is now one of the best clothing thrift store in the area. Worth a visit! —Old review from a few years ago— There are SO many clothing items to choose from... you could spend HOURS sorting through the clothing racks. Amazing variety and great prices! Wednesdays are amazing because everything is half off! Not so much furniture or housewares available, but sometimes you can find a gem or two there. Remember not to judge a book by its cover... Honestly, this store is dark, often unorganized, and one time I witnessed rain leaking in from the ceiling, but I'm telling you - the selection and prices are 10000X better than Savers down the street. The staff is hit or miss, and I've noticed that they are nicer to you the more often you shop there. The Hanover, MA Salvation Army is my go-to local thrift store."
"Used to be a lot better of a selection here but if you catch it on the right day you can find some gems. I bought a Sega here, and a few PS2s for 15, 10, and 10. But you have to pop in frequently."
