"It is with utmost pleasure that I recommend and write about my first experience working with Isabella and Michael. I’m a customer who prefers choosing and procuring loose gemstones myself. This is because ethical sourcing is important to me so I tend to purchase gemstones with a transparent history, i.e., from sellers who mine and facet the stones themselves, or faceters who get the stones directly from hobbyist miners or rockhounders as they sometimes are called. After purchasing a few loose stones, I came to realize that most jewelers are reluctant to set stones unless you also have purchased the stones from them. I was delighted when I found Isabella and Michael, who accept loose stones brought in by customers with no reservations. After making inquiry electronically, I visited their store and brought with me a beautiful Russian demantoid garnet (very timely for January!) that I had purchased online. The consultation went smoothly and soon enough, we settled on the ring design, delivery time and cost. I really appreciated Isabella being a fine balance between listening to what I like, spending the time to get to know the customer’s fashion sense and personality, and also confidently making suggestions, such as making the prongs in yellow gold to accentuate the center stone’s green and brilliance. The ring was finished in a week as promised. It is stunning, much more so in person! The pricing was also very reasonable. Above all, I simply enjoy working with people who are honest, straightforward, who deliver and who possess a can-do attitude. So glad to have found a local jeweler to work with."

I first went in with a photo and a price-range. Michael looked at me like I had three heads and said “I can make this for half.” I felt immediately that I had come to the right place. Not only did Michael handcraft my dream ring, but Isabella was so receptive, responsive, and patient. There was zero judgement when I asked their opinion about a lab created diamond for the center stone and they never once tried to upsell us on a “natural” stone or anything else. Within a matter of days they had sourced a selection of lab created diamonds for me to hand-pick, and they kept me informed through every step of the process from casting to setting to polishing. And yes, I did end up spending about half my original budget - for a piece that is honestly so much nicer than what I originally had in mind.
