"I went to get two gifts for kids. Upon paying, $71.08: Cashier: do you want to round up the amount for the artisans? Me: Sure! Cashier: How much? $75 Me: Hmm..., I was thinking of rounding up to the next dollar. Cashier: Oh..., well..., that's fine... Me: You are now making me feel guilty. Cashier: Oh..., there are several options. That's fine... Same cashier: "We do not have boxes or anything for gifts. Other cashier attending a costumer: "..., yeah, I can give you a box for a gift. Let me see what we have." (On all fairness, I got two sheets of red tissue paper, one per object.) I think I'll find my fair trade products elsewhere in the future. For the record, I don't have a problem with the products this store carries (I'm happy with what I found). I have a problem with condescension."

"This store nearly gave me a panic attack. Quiet browsing was absolutely not allowed by the staff who are apparently trained to talk as loudly as possible and not let customers look at the shelves for more than a moment at a time before repeatedly demanding to help them. I ended up leaving empty handed because I was sick of having to refuse unwanted help and just wanted to get the hell away from the aggressive sale people and my friend bought a necklace that broke 30 minutes later."
