"While I have been in larger and quieter YMCA facilities, the staff here truly makes this place 5 star amazing. Everyone is always smiling and welcoming and engaging. If they notice you're sad or upset they try to cheer you up and offer to talk about it. They're fast to respond to any problem you have. Considering how busy it gets here, they keep the facility remarkably clean. My only obstacle was the crowd in the pool. I never actually found a "down time" or a time to visit when it wasn't incredibly busy. Which was often how I navigated my discomfort of crowds at other YMCAs. But it really shouldn't be surprising. The staff maintains such a pleasant, happy, clean atmosphere that I wanted to spend extra time here too."

"The West Roxbury YMCA is wonderful. Lovely community organization, great staff, really good aerobic and weightlifting equipment and beautiful pool. And the hours are amazing. I go at 6 am many days and at 6 pm on some days and often on the weekend. I'm so grateful those odd hours are available."
