"Never in my life has this happened to me he high jacked my TV and won't call me back but has my money, I never thought to look him up until he wouldn't return my calls he ruined my holidays, he probably takes the good parts to sell them, I have my TV ID. And everything so I know my TV,"
"I dropped my TV off back in May 2022. Needed the led lights replaced. Paid $100 deposit and was told it'd be done in couple of weeks. Couple weeks go by and no call. I called and was told parts are taking awhile to come in. It would be another couple of weeks. Fast forward to end of July. Still no call. Again I call and was told parts still didn't come in. Fast forward to Septmeber still no call and was told the same thing yet again. Fast forward to end of January I call and he didn't remember me and couldn't find my name in his system. Thankfully I saved the deposit slip and gave him invoice number. He said the tv was there. I said I wanted to pick it up as it was when I dropped it off. My wife went by couple days later to pick up and miraculously it was "fixed". Charged another $130. Took tv home and all along the edges there's dark shadows. Something that wasn't there before. You could even see the guys fingerprints inside the screen. I called and he said to drop it back off and he'd take a look. I decided not to after reading most of his reviews and not wanting to wait almost another year to fix the problem. Needless to say money wasted and I wouldn't recommend bringing your TV here. I did take it to another guy and he said whoever did the work did a hack job and I was over charged. Lesson learned. Read reviews before going places. Update:: in response to Jack's Response. CLEARLY you can see by the picture I posted the TV was on but still having dark shadows all around the edges which were NOT there before. I did not return for warranty repairs because I did not want to wait almost ANOTHER YEAR like I had to before in order to receive my TV back. I took it to an actual professional who was able to undue the hack job Jack did in just 2 days time with no further issues."
"I bought a VCR/DVD combo from Jack's TV and Hifi in Providence. I later discovered this machine was a real pain to use. I own 6 very similar machines so I know how they should work. I called wanting a refund, but Jack says no. However it does not say this on his invoice. He said there is a sign in the store. I saw no sign and he did not say anything. I cannot recommend this store."
"EDIT: he knows exactly who I am & he knows exactly what I'm talking about. The exact TV. I doubt he repairs crt's so regularly he can't remember a 7" Panasonic. This was written the day it was picked up. Brought in a crt for repairs. Offered to show the guy what was wrong instead he said just describe it & I'll fix it. Took months longer than originally & this was after getting the board he said he needed. At one point he told me it would be done by the start of the next week from my call & when I called to ask about it he flew off into a rage at me over the phone calling me a liar & that he'll call me when it's done. A month goes by & I get the call back saying it's ready, pay for labor, test it, & it has the exact same issue. He didn't do anything to fix it."
"I saw some bad reviews, but couldn't find electronics repairmen, so I tested him first. I'm a record collector and have lots of various machines I need fixed. I brought a large boombox that wasn't broke to him. He called me back in two days and said "no problem found". $30 basic fee. Seems honest and skilled."
