Reviews of JCC Greater Boston
"Friendly staff! Fitness center well equipped. Clean and well maintained."
"4 star for kids programs This location provides variety of kids classes that my kids enjoy. The program manager is easy to reach and considerate. Will keep signing my kids up. Edit: 3 stars for LKSA Below is review for the aquatics the instructors at LKSA are nice to kids, and provide good feedback when I asked about progress. I also love the Aquatics coordinator Deven who’s very helpful and accommodating. However, another coordinator needs some training to stop dodge customers questions. His job is to help customers. I have to keep asking THREE times in our back and forth emails for him to answer my ONE question related one clause of the policy, which could be avoided if he just get it explained in the first reply. But nope, he refused to provide any explanation related to this clause until I pushed THREE times. This is rude and unfriendly behavior in my view as a coordinator. Also I asked it because the clause appears to be applied to anyone but it only applies to certain groups per his statement ( not on JCC written policy), so LKSA needs to revise their policies to make it explicitly clear to avoid confusion, if what he stated is true. Even though what’s not written doesn’t apply, i don’t argue as long as they provide reasonable explanation to me as I’m very flexible and cooperative usually. I do however need to know my rights and my options. I can’t stay unknown which is unfair for the paying customers. Thus I can’t stand his behavior towards a small request. And aquatics never pick up phone calls it’s always straight to voicemail. For anyone like to sign up the swim classes, bless you meet a great coordinator that’s willing to help answer your questions and friendly."
"I just love this place. There are so many different offerings, the staff is so friendly and knowledgeable, and the equipment is excellent. I mostly do personal training here, but also use the indoor and outdoor pools, do drop in pickleball, and - during the pandemic - took online courses."
"Update: brand new gym exercise facilities, and locker rooms gain it a point. Friendly staff and patrons. Well maintained facility though it's probably 30 years old now. Nice gym, pool, locker rooms. Staff is friendly. Tons of cultural events."
"Great facility, I come here for the fitness center. The locker rooms look newly renovated, and most of their cardio equipment is brand new and has great features (connect to Apple Watch, browse movies, etc). Their staff is very friendly and the facility is always clean. I also like that it’s usually not busy- if you’ve never been to this JCC, it’s similar to a YMCA that’s much less crowded. Very glad I purchased a membership here."
