About the Millennium Park
Millennium Park, located at 300 Gardner Street in Boston, Massachusetts, is a popular tourist attraction and park that is part of the Boston Parks and Recreation Department. The park spans over 2,300 acres of green space, including 217 city parks, playgrounds, athletic fields, golf courses, squares, fountains, game courts, cemeteries, urban wilds, and more. The park is also home to approximately 125,000 trees, with a historic Emerald Necklace covering 1,000 acres.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Tree Removal and Parks and Recreation Commission hearings are currently being held online. Mayor Michelle Wu and the Boston Parks and Recreation Department have announced that the Boston Swan Boats will open for the 2024 season at the Boston Public Garden lagoon, a popular attraction within the park.
The park consists of a chain of nine parks connected by parkways and waterways, offering visitors a variety of outdoor activities and scenic views. The Boston Parks and Recreation Department also manages three active cemeteries and 16 burying grounds in the city. If there is a need to remove a healthy tree within the park, a public hearing must be held in accordance with park regulations.

"One of my favorite hidden gems right outside the city. Beautiful space for walking running or just enjoying nature. Tables for a picnic and a brand new accessible playground"
"This park has plenty of open space for exercise along with great views."
"My Family love this park lot! It's huge and you can sit anywhere during summer and Spring. During Winter months they also clean the pathway and put salt so it's not slippery!"
