"The actual fact is this a real museum full of real items and artifacts from the real life and times of Franklin MA.. not virtual, digitally enhanced or preserved on computer chips...it's the real deal.. go see for yourself.. quite fascinating and moving... well worth a visit when in Franklin..."
"Franklin's Historical Museum is a town treasure. With revolving exhibits, there is always something new to see, a time-line of the town, fashion of different eras, furniture and tools, etc... Of special interest is their monthly Speaker Series. Talks or presentations revolve around various topics related to the Town. Whether the subject be historical events, prominent residents of the past, or virtual tours and slide shows, it is always entertaining. Thank you Franklin."
"What a great place to see the history of Franklin! I have lived in Franklin for 10 years now, my wife is originally from here and I went to high school here. This town has vast history from all the way back to where Ben Franklin donated his own personal books to the town library. We also have such pioneers as Horace Mann. You could spend all day here at the museum and still not see everything this place has to offer you about the town history. We come by here every March 2nd because it is the town's birthday as well as my wife's and they invite everyone in town with March 2nd birthday to join them. I would recommend stopping by and seeing the past come alive."
"A great place to view army clothing..the clothes from Someone at Pearl Harbor Show this impact on people. Several family members pictures are in the town servicemen book. They change subject matter often so you can find new Interesting things all the time."
"I was really impressed with this place! For being a free historical society, they had a very good little museum setup (not little for a historical society mind you!) They do a great job honoring native Franklin men and women who have fought and/or died for our country in various wars and they devote plenty of space to the local economic/industrial history as well as what life looked like for the average resident for some spans of history. They have a big section devoted to Horace Mann, who was born in Franklin. If you're looking to learn about Franklin and its storied history or to learn about things to do in town, come here for all that info."
