"They have a great selection of hiking MREs, hiking boots and running shoes. Big selection of waterbottles. You can also get Smart Wool socks here."
"Way to hot inside, they need air conditioning. The store is boring and smells like moldy. I didn’t buy anything, I was not able to stay of how hot it was."
"Manager refused to return items even though we had receipt within 30 days. Card purchased on no longer valid. Store credit would have been fine. He told us to return the items to Portland store bc they don’t make very much money at Freeport location …………. After reading the Ems return policy online, it says very clearly you do not need the card items were purchased on. very disappointed in our experience at Freeport Ems. will not be going back there ever!!!"
"Pretty disappointing. I bought a pair of pants to replace a pair I already had. I declined the receipt since I already had a pair like them. Tried the pants on, they were much tighter in the hips. I tried to return them without the receipt and could not get a return, exchange,or a gift card. I had the same sales person, who remembered selling me the pants. He said it was against company policy to return an item without a receipt."
"Horrible. Bought a pair of 200$ Keen hiking boots and within the first couple months the soles were coming off. Tried to exchange and they would not back the product that was sold. Any other outdoor outfitter would have gladly exchanged because it was obviously a manufacturer defect exposed after normal wear. Shop LL Bean just steps away that have a year warranty on all goods sold. Pathetic excuse for an outdoor gear company. Can't even back the products they sell. Don't waste your time. Can't give them zero stars or I would."
