Crispy Gai

"This was another wonderful stop on my Portland food crawl, and well worth the visit. I knew it was going to be a good spot the second we were greeted. We sat at the bar, and the bartender was fantastic to us. We ended up grabbing an order of the hat yai wings and a Thai iced tea to wash them down with. The wings were so crispy outside but still tender and juicy inside. The taste was great naked but made even better by the Nam Jim Khao Man Gai. . . Also known as soy ginger sauce. The Thai iced tea was nice and strong, just the right size, too. Next time I come back, I'd like to try some of the more authentic Thai dishes. I have to add that the bathroom cracked me up. It reminded me of a 1980s movie. Figured I'd throw that in there for a good taste of the atmosphere."

"Last night in Maine and wanted to try something new. Crispy Gai was a real cool spot. The music was great. The bathroom was decorated pretty interestingly. I really wasn't a huge fan of the nada coolada. It was something added that I don't care for. It wasnt bad. Just had a different taste. The curry wings was amazing. The pad see ew was amazing. "I ordered takeout, I like the ease of online ordering. Prices are reasonable for the area. The satay chicken sandwich was excellent, it had a little heat and tons of flavor. It was the crispeist fried chicken I have ever had."

"Go here. The atmosphere, the food, and the prices are on point. I was lucky to sit at the small outdoor space on a perfect day. I had the crab Rangoons. Y’all they were so good and not anything like you normally get. I also had the Bangkok Hot Sandwich. The best I’ve ever had. The bun, the pickles, the spice, and the light flavorful breading. Don’t miss this gem."
