"Love this store. Been shopping at this store and the other branches in the capital region for 25 years. Unfortunately because of the bad apples that are stealing browsing has become a bad experience. I usually stop every month or so or when I wanna blow some time or money. Went here the other day with a gift card was planning to buy a pair of boots mind you I hate ordering online and as a business owner in construction I go through boots like crazy and only buy them here. I admit I am a weird shy person and get the follow around at Walmart too but it's sad when you're local mom and pop is starting the treat everyone as if they're a theif attitude. I left without purchasing anything and fealt weird that this makes me even more suspicious to them. Funny thing is I remember the staff here and at threir other locations but they must not recognize me. Loss prevention is a good thing and it stinks we even need it. But pressuring good customers means you are losing sales as well. I hate that my favorite place to shop has become an if you don't know exactly what you want dont bother to go and look. Hopefully Ny starts cracking down hard on criminals so good paying customers don't have to get the hurry and buy something treatment. Lastly the attitude of if you're not doing anything wrong then why does it bother you is flawed. It's creepy to be asked five times if you need help and shadowed around by staff. I even said to the guy I have a gift card that expires at the end of the month. So I was literally looking to just blow it and some cash on whatever tickled my fancy. But left with nothing. I still love these stores and will continue shopping with them just sad that criminals are really ruining the shopping experience for everyone."

"The management here is awful to the people who work for them. Specifically Caitlyn and to my surprise, even one of the owners, Derik. I say to my surprise because Derik is an owner and one might think he would carry himself in a much more professional and respectful manner toward his workers. I personally saw messages from Derik to a member of his staff and I was blown away with the negative way he was communicating at him. I also saw messages from this staff member to Derik asking him when he was supposed to be working on multiple occasions (because they don’t like to post their schedule until very last minute so no one knows when they’re working - how inconvenient for their people working for them!) and the messages looking to find out the time he was supposed to be working went ignored. No response at all so he was left to just drive almost a full hour from home to work on a day he wasn’t sure he was supposed to work. And this review is coming from someone who has been in management myself for many, many years now. The way they speak at (not to or with) their staff and treat them is unprofessional and unacceptable! Do better! If they treat staff this way, how will they treat you?"
