"Purchased a rod/reel combo, tackle, and live bait from this shop while on vacation. The rod broke within an hour of fishing. It snapped on a lily pad.. Clearly some kind of manufacturer defect. It was a cheap rod but I’ve had $30 ugly sticks last 15 years. I called the shop and asked what my options were. They would not allow a return or exchange. The best they could do was point me to the manufacturer. Disappointing. Wish I would have gone somewhere else."
