"I went to the store to grab some back to school clothes for my kids while we were in town and my experience was nothing short of amazing. When we first entered the store we were greeted by a man with a beard but he did not seem very sincere as it seemed everything he said was scripted. The two associates on my receipt, T and Devon were the best I have ever met in a store. My daughter and son have been bullied in school and wanted a new style to fit in more. T made my daughter feel like the coolest girl in the world by recreating a skater girl look for her (she couldn’t stop talking about the store) and Devon went above and beyond searching boxes for clothes and shoes and made sure my son walked out with everything he wanted and then some. It was great to see two people work together almost perfectly and seem like they’re having fun at work. I wish that we could take them home to Virginia with us and have one of them at every store we shop at."
"So, I'm only giving 5 stars because the end of my experience with this store was very good. Janet the manager was supposed to hold the last pair of vans for me for my daughter and she promised and said no problem. My boyfriend goes to pick them up and they are no where to be found. Mind you, she promised me up and down she would hold them. An employee named Jose helped my boyfriend get them found on line and shipped to my daughter ASAP, he was so so helpful and I'm very thankful for that! Also, the other employees there at the time were helping to look in the back for them. I'm just shocked the MANAGER almost screwed me!"

"Bought shoes for my wife from these guys for Christmas. My wife opened them and no laces in the box. Called them and they said we have to drive back to pick up laces, we live 1.5 hours away. Asked if they could ship them to us, told originally they couldn’t ship; multi-million dollar company can’t ship a pair of shoe laces??? After requesting District Manager’s info, was told they would finally ship them but only manager can do it and he’s not in, but a note would be left for him to ship them. It’s been 2 weeks, no laces. Go to a shoe store that understands customer service, especially when it’s their fault. Fours days after writing this review we did receive the shoe laces in the mail. Coincidence?? Update 10/21 We went back to this store after this incident last night as we are big Vans fans and we were in the area. The laces my wife got in the mail were the regular laces that come w/ most Vans. The shoes I got my wife were their all-weather high tops, close to a boot. They still had her shoes in stock and she saw different laces in that she liked better. She asked if they had any of those laces for sale, unfortunately they didn’t. However, the gal she was taking to must have been part of the management team as my wife explained to her what had happened a few months back. The gal asked my wife what size shoes she wore and double-checked out back for some laces. She ended up comping out w/ a brand new pair of the same shoes and was apologetic for how the situation was handled prior and wanted to return my wife’s shoes under a warranty. Needless to say we were shocked and very appreciative for the customer service. She said she actually remembered our situation and felt at the time it wasn’t handled correctly and some changes had been made and she wanted to make up for it. I completely understand mistakes happen, but how you own up to them and try to correct them to the best of your ability shows what type of person you are. This team members effort was over the top and put this store back in our goodwill. TY!"
